HOME OPENER: Are you ready?

This Sunday is the home opener for the Kansas City Chiefs as they take on the Oakland Raiders… it’s freakin RAIDER WEEK!
I know “Raider Week” doesn’t really mean what it used to because let’s face it two teams coming off of 4-12 seasons isn’t a lot to get excited about for some… but I am PUMPED! I can tell you that me and my crew will be there at the butt crack o’ dawn on Sunday banging down the doors (or the parking gates) to get in. It’s only Thursday, but man am I am ready for Sunday!!
What about you guys… are you excited about the game this Sunday? I know my boy Ryan from Iowa is ready to make that long trip in!!
p.s. We park in the Red lot right in front of the staduim so come say ‘hey’ if you see us! We will be the ones wearing red and eating BBQ.

Oh yeah, we’ll be there! Can’t wait for the home opener of the regular season, especially against the Raiders!!! I’m sure the atmosphere will be a lot more electric then it has been in the preseason games. With that spot on, CSI-type, description of where you’ll be I’m sure we’ll be able to find you and stop by
LOL We would love to make it out one of these games and actually be able to tailgate if we could. I’m sure it’s an experience in itself. Even with the “questionable” weather forcast I’m pumped to see us pound the Raiders. Overall I think we played well against the Pats, even if Brady was out most of the game, and hopefully it was a sign of better things to come this year. As I’ve said before, we may not win many more games this year, but they sure will be more entertaining losses!!!
LOL! “CSI-type description” I do tend to give extra attention to detail… it’s how I roll.
The tailgating is an experience all in itself, one like no other. I definitely suggest coming out early at least once and try it, although I realize that could be a little harder for you coming from out of town, but git-r-done man! lol… you won’t regret it, the atmosphere is great.
After that Rams game a “questionable” weather forecast doesn’t seem so bad to me. I’ll just have to remember the rain poncho this time.
I really think the Chiefs will surprise some people this year, especially if they continue to get better each game (and D Bowe finds his hands)
GO CHIEFS!
Tell me what you're thinking...

Yeah we looked better than the 32nd ranked team in the league (as people were predicting) against the Pats. We need to manhandle Oakland this week along with Atlanta (if anyone can stop Michael Turner!) and be competitive against the Donkey’s. It’s also possible we could win at Carolina, so heading into the Bye week it’s FEASIBLE we could be 3-2 and in the middle (top?) of the AFC West. Now do I honestly think we’ll finish out the year just as good? Probably not unfortunately. I’m still in the boat of 4-7 wins this year, but more competitive and a better outlook on years to come. If we can find a “franchise” QB (sorry, I like Croyle but he’s almost proving he’s too fragile) then we could be good in the next couple of years for sure. By the way, if you see me give a holla, I’ll be in the BOWE JERSEY!
If you wouldn’t mind a few Iowa boys hanging out with you sometime feel free to send an email to me (I’m sure you can see my email address right?) and maybe we can meet up for some tailgating. Enjoy the game!
