Ingle Martin

Ok, my initial reaction to this was me yelling, “WHAT THE CRAP?!”  at my monitor and nearly choking on Little Debby Star Crunch!

Quarterback Ingle Martin on Tuesday agreed to terms with the Kansas City Chiefs after the team offered him a spot on the their 53-man roster.

The Titans had a chance to promote Martin from their practice squad to the 53-man roster to keep him, but opted not to. Martin starred locally at Montgomery Bell Academy and spent all of last season on the team’s practice squad.

I honestly don’t know what to think about this. It really muddies up the QB situation. I guess Damon Huard is the guy. and who are going to drop since by signing him from their practice squad we have to put him on the 53 man roster?

Lots of info on him here

I just hope I don’t end up calling this guy Ingle “the dingle” Martin

Good Luck Ingle.

  2. Ingle Martin should really get a chance in Kansas City. He has a huge arm and is a strong guy, but was overshadowed in his combine by Jay Cutler and everyone forgot him. He was also slated to be the starter in Florida before they opted to pursue the Chris Leak experiment. Martin looked like the closest thing to a starting QB at Tennessee during pre-season but they have some infatuation with the drama known as Vince Young.

  4. @Jake: Yeah, at this point I say give him a shot as long as he knows the offense. It couldn’t be too much worse than the last two weeks… could it?
