What the CRAP!?!? We just lost to the RAIDERS at HOME!
So, I have cooled off a little bit from today’s loss to the freakin’ Oakland Raiders… Ok, maybe I haven’t.
I honestly, like many other people, thought that the Chiefs would kill the Raiders. Alright, I really didn’t think we would smoke them, but I thought we would for sure beat them AT HOME! Does Arrowhead even mean anything to the Chiefs organization anymore? Arrowhead used to be one of the hardest places for opposing teams to play, but now even the lowly Raiders can come into our house, kick our dog, and spank our hides.
If Herm wants to keep his job he better start wining at home. We as Chiefs fans have been very patient over the last, oh 10-20 years, and one thing that we could count on is that we would win at home. Arrowhead Stadium “the loudest stadium in the NFL”. I used to be proud of that statement, but anymore it tends to more of a joke. How can you be the loudest stadium in the NFL when you have fans leaving early from the game because they can see that we don’t stand a chance to win the game?
Well, for now I think I will just leave it at that, but there will be more to come from me about this loss, including my usual Monday Morning Thoughts article along with the ‘What I think…” article where I will tell what I liked/disliked about the Chiefs/Raiders game…
We lost the Raiders at Arrowhead… (sigh…)

Truly a sad day to be a Chiefs fan…that’s all i can say at this point.
I agree Ryan. I don’t even want to think about this game anymore. I’m not saying this will happen, but if we play like that I don’t know how we can win a game against anyone.
I am an optimist. The only ‘not bad’ ( I just can’t bring myself to say ‘good’ ) thing to come of this loss is the fact that you could tell who was the true blue Chiefs fans that were there to the end and the ones who were not. Other than that, it was the saddest day ever to be a Chiefs fan. To get whupped by that garbage of a team in our house… terrible, just terrible.
@Igorash: I’m with you 100% man. I was there all the way until the end and I can tell there were not that many people left. One of my buddies even made a comment about there “only being like 1,000 people left”. I’m sure there were more than 1,000, but it was sad. Definitely one of, if not THE, worst days as a Chiefs fan.’
So do you go to the games as well then Igorash?
Man, I really hope it doesn’t come down to those last two weeks to get a win. I really think we have a shot this week in ATL, but you never know what you will happen. This week kind of makes me wonder if the Chiefs young players where somewhat cocky after sticking with the Patriots and then watching Oakland get smashed by Denver. I hope that is all that happened and they will come back strong… but I have my doubts, esp. with our QB situation in its current state.
Tell me what you're thinking...

Well we accounted for 3/1000 of the fans left then. We stayed to the very end, and surprisingly had something to root for until that last INT. I agree, we were going over the remaining schedule on the way home and if we don’t beat Atlanta this week it could come down to the final two weeks of the year (Miami and Cincinatti) before we have another shot at winning a game. I definitely didn’t think we’d be in this boat this year, but sad to say we COULD be looking at the #1 pick overall. I know it’s early in the year and things can change, the outlook is bleak, but we’ll be there to the end either way!
