Things are not looking so good in Denver right now. There seems to be quite a bit of trouble happening with Broncos players lately, makes you wonder what kind of people the Broncos like to have on their team (and the answer is not ‘law abiding citizens’).

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — The Denver Broncos will start the season without wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who was suspended by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for three games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Marshall was summoned to Goodell’s New York offices on July 18 to explain a series of off-the-field misdeeds over the past year, most notably his March 6 arrest on a domestic violence warrant filed by his former girlfriend in Atlanta.

Marshall, who is due in court next month for a drunken driving trial, can have his suspension reduced to two games if he undergoes counseling and abides by other conditions, which the NFL did not specify.

John Lynch leaves Broncos

John Lynch apparently doesn’t like to play second fiddle. I have to admit I never really like Lynch that much but I could respect him for what he was. I’ll also admit that I don’t know the entire situation here, but to me it sounds like Lynch didn’t think he had to compete for “his” spot.

From ESPN

The 16-season veteran is leaving the Broncos, two sources close to the situation said, because he is unhappy with his role. He has been working with the first-team defense in the first week of training camp but not in nickel and dime defensive packages. He has admitted that not playing significantly bothered him.

Also in the article it says Lynch wants to explore ‘off the field’ options and that he has “aspirations to do television work after his playing days”. IF that happens I sure hope that for all of our sakes that he is better than Shannon Sharpe.
