Carl Peterson final words and/or shots
Within the last week Carl Peterson has oficially said goodbye to role with the Chiefs. His final press conference can be seen here: VIDEO: Carl Peterson Final Press Conference
I must admit that I was really excited when I heard the news of ‘King Carl’ leaving, but I also realize that has done a lot of good for the Chiefs. In his first 10 years Carl was a great leader for the Chiefs and the Chiefs were very successfull and for that I say ‘thank you Carl’. As far as his last years in KC, it makes me wonder if he just doesn’t know when to say goodbye…
Now, as King Carl was saying his goodbye (in typical Carl Peterson fashion) he had to take one last shot at the media. I just laugh at this because we all know how Carl felt about the media, but Adam Teicher had a little something to say about this on his vlog:

The Star’s Adam Teicher says he wasn’t surprised that Carl Peterson, at his farewell news conference, took a swipe at the news media. He says Peterson thought the media “should have put on our skirts and been a cheerleader for the Chiefs.”
Lol… If the Chiefs get a GM who is “media friendly” then what will the Star have to talk about regarding the Chiefs?? Hopefully the play on the field.

Carl Peterson has resigned: The King is Gone
A short time ago I have learned that Kansas City Chiefs president and general manager Carl Peterson has resigned, effective at the end of the season.
Couresy of the Kansas City Star: Carl Peterson resigns as Chiefs general manager
Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson resigned today effective at the end of the season.
“On behalf of my family and the entire Kansas City Chiefs organization, I want to thank Carl for his two decades of service to the Chiefs,” Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt said. “Both Carl and I agreed that immediately initiating the search for the next Chiefs general manager would be the best thing for the future of the organization, and he will be resigning following the 2008 season.’’
Hunt said the search for a new general manager will begin immediately. Vice President Denny Thum will serve as the Chiefs’ interim president and general manager.
I have some feelings on this, but I think I will gather them and report back later!
Have a good one Chiefs fans!
