On a daily basis a friend of mine, a Bronco fan, and I have a daily email “chat” which usually turns into an argument somehow involving the Chiefs and Bronco (or as I like to call them Donkeys).  During the course of the this my friend sent a very interesting email that I wanted to share with you.
This should show you how well Tyler Thigpen has played since the Chiefs went to the Spread offense.
Here is the content of the email:
I decided to try and figure out what Tyler Thigpen’s QB rating is ever since they started running the spread offense (his first start against the Jets). I’ve always felt his QB was skewed from that first game against Oakland and the start against the Falcons with that old offense but I had no idea it was THIS different! For the record, his QB rating for the entire season is 76.9, which isn’t great. But check out these numbers since the spread has been employed:
117 for 193 with 1347 yards and 11 TDs and 4 INTs for a QB rating of 92.0
As it stands right now, that would be 7th best in the NFL and above Cutler.

Thanks for sharing James.
