I just wanted to let all of my loyal listeners know that there will be no Brick Hits this week. Brick decided to take a week off. I guess it is a good thing we decided to do the Brick Hits Special Edition- Chiefs vs Jets Post Game.

So now I will leave you with a few other Chiefs links for today.

Primetime over at Arrowhead Pride seems to agree with me that the Chiefs rushing D is running out of excuses and that Cunther is to blame.

What has changed?  Nothing!  I’d say Gunther’s [in]ability to stop the run is becoming more apparent.  What’s the excuse this time?

Adam at Arrowhead Addict is starting up some New Rules for the Chiefs

You can’t slap women around if you refuse to pass block.

You can’t slap women around period, but what kind of pansy abuses women yet tinkerbells around when relied on for pass protection? Larry Johnson, real men do two things: A.) The dirty work; and B.) Never abuse women.

I totally agree with this and I can’t believe I never put these two together. If you can’t pass block then you should should let woman hit YOU!

Quinn Gray is now the Chiefs #2 QB. He is almost just sitting there waiting for Thiggy to screw up so he can get his chance.

Herm Edwards said after practice that Quinn Gray, signed only last week, would move into the number two quarterback spot on the depth chart with Ingle Martin moving back to number three. The change will take effect with Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay at Arrowhead Stadium.

Bob Gretz also did a nice piece on good ole’ Marty Schottenheimer. I know that I sure wouldn’t mind having him back.

“They love you again in Kansas City,” somebody shouted at Schottenheimer this past Sunday. He was at Giants Stadium in the New Jersey Meadowlands, watching the Chiefs and Jets play.

“I will always have great memories of Kansas City, Arrowhead, the Chiefs fans,” Marty said.

Chiefs put QB Damon Huard on IR; Larry Johnson Deactivated for Sunday

Well, to be honest this came as quite a surprise to me, but I am not all that shook up about Damon Huard joining Brodie Croyle on IR.  The Chiefs are looking for the QB of the future right now and we all know Huard does not fit into that plan. However this does worry me a little bit in the ‘win now’ department, but whatever.

This leaves the Chiefs with Tyler ‘Getin’ Thiggy with it’ Thigpen, Ingle Martin, and new Chiefs QB Quinn Gray as the Chiefs only options as of right now.

I guess we will see what happens.

Also, as many of you could/would have guessed Larry Johnson will be deactivated this Sunday as well.  To that I say, “whippidy do da”. At this point it doesn’t really matter who is out there to me because the production seems to be about the same regardless. LJ might be gone before next season anyway, so this gives the Chiefs another chance to see what their future can be without him. Come on Jamaal Charles and Kolby Smith! Git-r-done!

Chiefs sign QB Quinn Gray

Well, the Chiefs have finally signed a QB.  I was hoping we could ink Culpepper, but this will work… I guess. Not like we have that many choices.

The Chiefs signed quarterback Quinn Gray and he was to be at practice with the Chiefs today.

Gray formerly played with Jacksonville. He was one of two quarterbacks to workout for the Chiefs on Tuesday. Bruce Gradkowski was the other.

Brodie Croyle will be placed on the injured-reserve list and have surgery soon to repair torn knee ligaments [KC Star]

Well, on a positive note his name is easy to spell. :)
